Target group: outstanding leaders in their field

Brief description: The Ernst Jung Prize for Medicine is currently endowed with €300,000 and is awarded to researchers who have contributed considerably to progress in human medicine with their projects and are also expected to do so in future. It honours work in the field of human medicine, which is of particularly great clinical significance and may result in new, effective approaches to treatment being implemented in practice.

Target group: outstanding senior researchers

Brief description: The Ernst Jung Gold Medal for Medicine recognises great achievements that have already been made. It honours exceptional contributions to medical progress and the entire lifetime achievement of a scientist in research and clinical work. The medal does not just serve as a symbolic gesture of esteem and acknowledgement, it is also linked to a scholarship currently amounting to €30,000. The medallist can award this to an aspiring young scientist of their choice.
