DGfA Annual Meeting 2018 in Jena

The annual meeting of the German Association for Aging Research (DGfA) took place in Jena on December 6-7, 2018. With selected lectures and poster presentations, the conference offered its international participants numerous opportunities for scientific discussions and exchange.

The annual meeting of the German Association for Aging Research (DGfA) 2018 took place in Jena on December 6-7, 2018 at the Leibniz Institute on Aging – Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI), Abbe Center Beutenberg and the Center for Molecular Biomedicine (CMB).

As keynote speakers Dr. Janine Kirstein, Leibniz Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (Germany), Prof. Janko Nikolich-Zugich, Department of Immunobiology, University of Arizona College of Medicine and Arizona Center on Aging (USA) and Prof. Johannes Krause, Director of the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History (Germany) presented their research. During the meeting, the best poster and best talk were awarded with the Fritz Boege Prize.

The annual meeting of the German Association for Aging Research has developed into one of the most important meetings in the field of basic research on aging. The meeting is open to all scientists interested in biological and medical aging research and offers numerous opportunities for scientific discussions and exchange.
