The Leibniz Institute on Aging – Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) signed the "Diversity Charter" five years ago and thus committed itself to addressing the recognition, appreciation and incorporation of diversity in the working world. This year the Beutenberg Campus e.V. has joined the nationwide initiative, too.
On June 5, institutes from the Beutenberg Campus jointly presented how this diversity can be lived in Jena. For the "6th German Diversity Day" also the FLI was present at the event "Jena l(i)ebt Viefalt" in the city center of Jena.
Visitors of the joint stand were able to inform themselves about the internationality at the Beutenberg science campus, get to know our interactive integration labyrinth, and gather a lot of further information on the subject of diversity. The scientific institutions were not the only ones to be particularly diverse: At the end of the day, the world map, on which visitors could indicate their hometowns, was filled with many colorful flags.
