Evaluation: FLI at its best

On May 29th and 30th the FLI was evaluated according to the regulations of the Leibniz association (WGL). This overall evaluation usually takes place once in 7 years. For the first time after restructuring the IMB to FLI, the concept and positive development of the FLI was reviewed by the Senate of the WGL.

On May 29th and 30th the FLI was evaluated according to the regulations of the Leibniz association (WGL). This overall evaluation usually takes place once in 7 years. For the first time after restructuring the IMB to FLI, the concept and positive development of the FLI was reviewed by the Senate of the WGL.



Based on an elaborate report, the reviewers consisting of renowned national and international scientists as well as federal and state representatives were able to get a clear picture of the FLI during the 2 days. In talks, discussions and poster presentations the directors, scientists as well as director’s and administrative staff were in top form.



FLI interprets the reviewers’ obvious satisfaction as a positive success of the evaluation. Accordingly, FLI members beamed with joy in the subsequent meeting of the institute. The final evaluation result is expected at the end of the year.
