Using multi-touch screens, visitors can discover the work of the scientists and ask questions concerning health in old age, sustainable management or energy-efficient mobility. They can learn about vaccinations without needles, energy-efficient houses or 3D face recognition.
Several Leibniz Institutes participate in this travelling exhibition and give visitors interesting insights into their innovative research projects. The Leibniz Institute for Age Research presents two remarkable animal models, the turquoise killifish Nothobranchius furzeri originating from Africa and the naked mole rat Heterocephalus glaber. These two new model organisms in ageing research help to decipher the mechanisms of ageing and to find ways to a healthier ageing.
Until March 28th, the exhibition can be visited in Berlin. In October 2013 it can also be seen in Jena.
