On July 14, 2023, the IMPULS Info Day took place at the FLI as a gesture of thanks and an information opportunity for the IMPULS study subjects.
The
collects data on brain and cellular aging from volunteers aged 40 - 90 years. The study is part of the IMPULS research consortium, which is funded by Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung since 2021. A total of 93 study participants accepted the invitation.Christoph Englert, Klaus Rothermund (Psychology, FSU Jena), and Nadine Knutti (Biobank, Jena University Hospital) gave presentations on aging research, the IMPULS study, as well as on the establishment of a biobank. Following this, the participants were able to ask questions over coffee and cake.
The IMPULS study is a follow-up project of the study Aging as Future, which was funded by the Volkswagen Foundation from 2012 - 2021.
