JIP Dissertation Award for Zhong-Wei Zhou

On April 26th Zhong-Wei Zhou, Postdoc in the research group Wang, received the "JIP Dissertation Award 2014" for his dissertation "Functional Dissection of DNA Damage Response Pathways in vivo" during the "6th Postgraduate Symposium on Cancer Research" in Dornburg.

Graduates of the medical and other faculties of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena who performed their dissertation in the field of cancer research and finished their thesis with "magna cum laude" or "summa cum laude" in 2013 or 2014 had the chance to compete for the "JIP Cancer Graduate Award 2014". Criteria for the selection were the originality and the medical and/or scientific significance of the work, the degree of the doctoral thesis and the publication of the work in a recognized academic journal.
