K. Lenhard Rudolph among pannelists on "Berlin feiert Darwin"

On February 12, 2016, K. Lenhard Rudolph, Scientific Director of the Leibniz Institute on Aging (FLI), spoke about "Aging and Evolution" in the Museum of Natural History, Berlin.

Under the heading of "Berlin feiert Darwin", Prof. Dr. K. Lenhard Rudolph was one of the pannelists talking about the (im)mortality and importance of life and death in relation to the theory of evoluation. The event on February 12, 2016, which was sold-out weeks beforehand, compiled interesting speeches on

  • "Immortality from a philosophical perspective" (Stephan Cave, Ph.D., diplomat and philosopher),
  • "Immortality from the perspective of aging research" (Prof. Dr. K. Lenhard Rudolph, physician and aging researcher),
  • "Spirituality according to Darwin" (Prof. Bron Taylor, Ph.D., professor for religion and environmental ethics) and
  • "Immortality in the Tree of Life" (PD Dr. Michael Ohl, evolutionary biologist).

The event was one out of eight public lectures in Berlin's marvelous dinosaur room, jointly organized by the Humboldt University Berlin, the Museum of Natural History Berlin and the Schering Foundation and aimed at taking the audience on a journey into the fascinating world of science.
