From September 11st to 14th the first Polish-German Biochemical Societies Joint Meeting took place in Poznań, Poland. The Meeting was also the 47th Congress of the Polish Biochemical Society.
The leading theme of the Meeting “Biochemistry for Health and Environment” covered important and diverse aspects of human, animal and plant functioning at the level of gene expression, metabolism, cell motility and their sensitivity to intracellular and environmental signals under conditions of health and pathology.
With her talk "Regulation of membrane protein cleavage" Monika Hartmann, Postdoc in the Herrlich laboratory, won the Mozolowski Award for the best scientific presentation.
