Visit from the Karl-Volkmar-Stoy School at the FLI

News

On Monday this week, we welcomed 20 teachers from the Karl-Volkmar-Stoy School in Jena!

The teachers from the Karl-Volkmar-Stoy School in Jena (Staatliches Berufsschulzentrum Wirtschaft und Verwaltung) gained exciting insights into the importance and current trends in aging research, as well as the history of our institute. After a guided tour of our new laboratory building, designed with glass, and colorful art pieces, the vocational school teachers experienced aging firsthand through interactive simulations. It was clear how challenging it can be when vision, touch, grip, and hearing are impaired. For all a successful event with lots of new insights!

FLI trains in three disciplines (more information here: apprenticeships), also in close cooperation with the vocational school in Jena.

This will surely not be the last event of its kind!
