The Children's Tumor Foundation is a non-profit medical foundation, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by the neurofibromatoses (NF). One of their mission is to encourage and support research and the development of treatments and cures for neurofibromatosis types 1 and 2, schwannomatosis, and related disorders.
Alexander Schulz from the Morrison lab of the FLI received the 2012 Young Investigator Award. His research project ‘Axonal merlin regulates Schwann cell behavior via neuregulin signalling' was chosen for funding by the Children's Tumor Foundation for the duration of 2 years with $64,000.
